Hi folks,
I have my Mk1 heads with HT Howard in Slough for some overhaul and upgrade work at present. I have got a set of 10 thou oversize cam buckets for them to fit as I had a problem with a tappety sound on one head that I think was down to putting used cam buckets back into the wrong holes on a previous rebuild.
Before they machine out the holes for the oversized buckets, they want to establish what the correct clearance should be. The current ones measure 2.5 thou.
It's a a long shot, but can anyone help? Failing this I did ponder whether Abinger Hammer Motors may have an idea, what with their involvement with the new cylinder head project.
