It's not as easy as you might think.

I paid my subscription by PayPal on 16th May, then had a reminder come in the post.

Not a problem I thought - they must have just crossed over timewise.

However, no membership card came, so I emailed the Membership Secretary on 15th June giving details of the PayPal transaction.

....I've heard nothing since.....

It does say in capital letters on the web page do not renew on line unless you have the renewal card in front of you. They must have a reason for saying that


I've always renewed this way without problem.

But that is just what I did....

I'm referring to the reminder that I hadn't renewed being sent to me in the above post, not the original letter advising that my subs were due.

My frustration is that nobody can be bothered to respond to an email, even if it was just a "we are looking into it, valuable SOC member".

I know the club is run by volunteers etc....

I had the same renewal notice, with no original request. My card arrived a week or so after renewing.
