    Paint stripping

    Hi
I am looking to have a couple of TR6 wings stripped , I have given these wings to a firm in Essex who have messed me about for 6 weeks so I need to move on and find someone else really. They were going to use a burn method rather than chemicals.
    Anyone know someone
Big point.... I am in Kent !
    Thanks
    Len

can't you just buy a tin of paint stripper and do it yourself, would be a lot less hassle and a damn site cheaper!

I would be careful applying too much heat as a fear of warping metal, I guess they know what they are doing anyway..

they way I do it is paint stripper as much as possible, then clean with a rag/thinners to get excess off then 120 grit on a D/A then re-wipe with thinners to be sure. any stripper left on before paint and the paint won't go off..

Ask a body shop what paint strippers they use..
The standard stuff from auto shops are pretty naff, get the industrial strippers sold to the industry.

Tried this years ago, big difference.
