master cylinders are a pain to rebuild, rear wheel cylinders are cheap to replace, front calipers are pretty easy to rebuild, would fit braided hoses as well, would go for 6 vane water pump, my old engine had one seemed to run little cooler than my new one which has 12 vane fitted.

Read the threads on jackshafts and water pumps, after that you will not want to buy a new pump but rebuild your existing one.
Reinforced hoses are a must, buy from one of the reputable Stag suppliers.
Re polybushes. I was advised not to fit polybushes where they connect directly to the body as too much noise and vibration will transfer. Suspension members to subframe is fine.

Braided hoses for the brakes with the excellent Monarch BMW servo/master cyl conversion kit - transforms the braking system plus you can buy a brand new master in the future from your local BMW dealer. And not much more cost than a rebuilt standard master.
From personal experience, polybushing is fine down the back end noise wise as long as you leave the main diff mounts in rubber - I have outer subframe mounts in poly and have noticed no noise level increase.
Water pump -I have a 6 vane on a late Mk2 engine, but a seriously worthwhile mod is a front spoiler - I use a modded GRP TR6 one but there are others available - it helps force air through the rad core and really cures high speed temp issues as well as making the car more stable at motorway speeds.
I am going to change to a full digital control electric water pump system in the near future which finally nails the cooling system problems by operating on a demand basis, plus it unloads the jackshaft from some work giving you greater reliability.
If I had remained a mechanic in the motor trade this would be my 34th year.....16 of which were at a Rover/Triumph main dealer. My ex workmates think I was barking to buy a Stag, but they are reliable if you look after them right and use them as Triumph intended.
Good luck with your car, but remember there are hundreds of years of Stag owning experience on here and someone will know the answer to your problems.

Only buy the ones reinforced by braiding within the walls of the hose. Ask for SOCTFL hoses from the various suppliers. EJ Ward are advertising silicone hoses that are supposed to be the 'mutts nuts' but at a:shock::shockrice!
