Cure for EBC Green Stuff brake squeal?

I fitted EBC pads some months ago and they are certainly an improvement in terms of stopping power - very good. However, an initial tendency to squeal at slower speeds is getting worse rather than better and has shifted from being vaguely annoying to almost anti-social. Does anyone know of any way to prevent them squealing away? The discs are sound and were skimmed when the new pads fitted.

If no obvious fixes, any alternative pads to recommend that are both good and quiet? I'm reluctant to switch from otherwise good pads but may have to if it gets any worse. Thanks as always for suggestions.

Put some anti squeal compound or Copper slip on the rear faces of the pads, pins, piston edge's etc. Keep it away from the friction linings and disc face though. The noise you hear is high frequency vibration under braking.

Cheers Ian. I see that Halfords has a Copper anti squeal product for £3.49 so I'll give that a go first.

Ages ago, when I fitted some, I seem to remember that there was a thin layer of a product on tne back of the pads to help stop squeal - it was a bit like hard rubber

        Cheers

When I fitted mine, there appeared to be "blobs" of anti vibration material on the back, problem was I had to remove them to get the pads in. So I resorted to copper slip, and once bedded in, no squeals.

When I fitted mine I removed the thin rubber and applied copperease/slip - which I have always done with brake pads - never had any squealing problems.
