    T-bar fitting

    Hi
I'm just about to fit a different t-bar (thanks to Jeff ),

this might be a daft question but can it possibly be a case of unbolt one and fit the other? or the normal ultra-complicated Stag way ?

    Thoughts very very welcome .

    cheers Alex

I'd remove the B post trims and wedge a 4x2 or even better a porta power between the b posts although you might be lucky and get away with a straight swap

It can vary massively from one car to another.

You may need an assistant to push or pull B posts or T bar but it's usually do-able

      Cheers

fit the front end in first but not to tight, you may have to lift the back end up one side at a time

I found it helped to use longer b post bolts than the standard ones. And 3 people....
Don't forget to start with the front part before the rear.

The car tends to sag without the T bar so plank of wood and trolley in the centre jack up until bolt holes line up

Hi My t-bar covering needs replacing ,and I don't fancy the hassle of trying to fit a new cover at almost £90 ,plus the padding underneath and ending up with a rubbish job ,I'm really craggy handed with out a spanner /driver in my hand .
