noisy dizzy

hi all. dizzy has a noisy buzzing comming from it also can feel it.changed chains and tensioners awhile ago but did not change jack shaft just the cog any ideas please paul

Sometimes loose plates cause this. If you have the standard set up with 3 lugs on the bottom plate this wears, you can bend them in slightly(at your own peril as they do snap off sometimes when doing this) to take up the slack but not too tight as the top plate won't turn. Also check the plates are screwed down tight.
If they are badly worn I recommend a new set of plates from Rimmers which don't use them nasty lugs.

One of the dizzy plates has a hair spring iirc, often missing.

Loose advance / retard springs underneath the dizzy plates?

Broken thrust washer at dizzy skew gear?
