Hello all,
I've just changed my oil and filter and on re-assembling the filter parts the Haynes manual clearly shows two washers between the spring and the bit that looks like a flying saucer (one way valve?). Well I didn't appear to have these so I put a copper washer in their place so the spring/valve sat nicely together.
While cleaning up I then found the washers
, a thin steel washer and a slightly deformed black plastic one.
Do I need to drain down the oil to re-fit the correct washers, or will the copper one be doing the job?
Cheers, Mark.
