    Missing Brackets/vibration

I've recently found out that the two "L" brackets that connect the sump to gearbox are missing, the PO had converted the car from Auto to Manual gearbox what purpose do these have?

I've been trying to find out the cause of a vibration thru the car at 65mph+ Seems to get worse faster I go started to think might be the prop as someone has fitted jubilee clips at the back before I invested money replacing thought I would ask about these missing brackets.

I have checked the wheels are balanced and running true.

Any suggestions or advise would be welcome.

    Thanks

Whilst nice to have, they don't make a lot of difference, compared to gearbox & x-member mounting & prop service / balance which imho are a much higher priority.

The anti beaming brackets can be easily fabricated from tube, until some originals come up though.

oh, also check the quill shaft bearings in the diff extension, and diff x member bushes
