    Hard top renovation

    Has anybody got any hints or tips on how to dismantle and restorea hard top please?

    Yes! Don't do it!

    Dismantling is the easy bit.
    ZF 4 spd box, Datsun shafts, SS exhaust, 38DGMS weber 158.9bhp, BMW MC Tomcat seatssigpic

      Spent 2 and a half hours the other night just trying to replace the rear seals - still have the front seal and window seals to do so I am booking a fortnight off from work to get it done

        Just started to do mine will be finished first week in November if all goes to plan been de- rusted, treated, striped, and primed,just needs spraying and re assembling allso fitting new head lining will post more pics later ,must say though it is not a job to be tackled lightly only have ago if you're very confident in you ability or you can live with out a hardtop

            Thanks for the input guys, what I would really like to know is the best way to remove all the trim, windows, headlining etc and in what order.

              When you have finished yours you can do mine if you are boredI can soon pop it across to Chester. It is very rusty where the rear end chrome strip should be.

                Have you seen this if I hadn't have got so far with mine I may have been tempted but I have put to much work in to stop now
