Just fixed my main beam switch ,as suggested on here ( thanks ,saved a few bob ) now I can not refit the switch I'm trapped in to a circle of tying the same thing over and over again , just walked away for a cuppa and a brain reset !!!

does any one have a picture of one in place which shows the correct position,the rimmer diagram hasn't helped yet?

I must remember to take pictures (kicking my self )

my tea is in an "Old Guys Rule" mug ,It should say "OLD STAGS RULE "

Sorry no pics but just done this job myself.
Clamp the indicator stalk to the column first using the short screws then screw the wiper stalk using the longer ones.

Oops! It might be the other way around regarding screw lengths!

THANKS but I can't get the screw holes to line up . i know they must do ,will go back in the morning full of hope!!!!

ps so the plate goes on the left hand side ? maybe i'm trying to put the switches back in the wrong section of the column?

Yes,
The stalks go right at the top, check that the indicator cancelling cam lines up with the arms on the stalk.

THANKS but I can't get the screw holes to line up .

Not sure of the exact layout but try using a couple of thin small screwdrivers to roughly line up other holes/threads and then try inserting first screw.
