    Vinyl trim resto

Over the decades of ownership I occasionally look around at the vinyl trim and think about cleaning it, restoring it I guess. I have tried many solutions and products which had limited but not satisfactory results.

Last weekend I got around to swapping back the original stag style back seat - tomcat rear seat is too bulky for my lads now. The stag rear seat came from two locations (Thanks Paul ) one was dirtier than the other. Tried usual suspects - many many viny and interior cleaning products on the shelf in my garage - and then came upon some leather cleaner. hmmm worked wonders on Range Rover leather seats so gave it a go. Had to work had with a small hand brush but WOW. Also done hood cover, t bar and side trims.

fair bit of scrubbing and wiping down with clean wet rag. finish is dry, smooth, not sticky and smells leathery

Finished off dash, steering column (but not wheel) and sun visors. Looks very smart.

I have no idea where it came from originally, probably inherited

works well cleaning ingrained dirt and dust from the hard plastics / vinyls also

Other leather cleaners may do the same job, this stuff is liquid and foams up nicely on scrubbing.
