No one will EVER stop me from driving mine. I personally cannot stand modern cars (which is why I don't have one), they annoy me the instant I get in them.Drive a Stag every day... it's wonderful!

Not a threat to Classic Cars:
This may have been modelled on a scheme they had in the South of Ireland a number of years ago. The aim there was to get old, unfit cars off the road and what better way than by suddenly guaranteeing a trade-in price that was effectively a substantial deposit. It worked well during the limited time it ran but some cars that might have have survived to become classics were scrapped.
The classic car scene there is very much alive and well, and they have a rolling 30 year cheap registration fee.
