Have had my Stag 4yrs today

HI Guys , it's 4 yrs since I picked my stag up from Rushden Northhants, but I have been boring you for 5 yrs, have made some good friends in that time and covered 11,000 miles. Was invited to France on holiday, (our first ever Foreign holiday), have attended, the nationals at Malvern , Harlow, Harrogate, Kent. along with the Norfolk one before we bought the car.

Have enjoyed numerous run's out for Sunday lunch etc., visited Commander Wallace's house and seen him fly his autogiro (RIP). have got a reputation for wanting a cake stops on the runs. Have seen a lot of Norfolk that I did not know was there.

I would like to thank you all for your help and hope I have helped someone with something along the way, looking forward to boring you for the next 4+ yrs

    Thanks

    Martin & Monica

          Hi CT.
It seems a lifetime since we first met in the Norfolk premier inn!! Thank you for keeping us amused with your different sense of colour.

I can still remember you wondering around at a National Day (Malvern I think) looking at the cars for sale. If you remember your car has also made a trip to Jersey with it's PO, 4 of us made that trip

What's the next job, paint it a decent colour

Great stuff. Bought my first one in 1989 and had one ever since, but still look forward to driving it at every opportunity. I've done 4000 miles this year and will be adding to that this weekend.

Only had mine ten months but apart from driving it home after buying it I hadn't driven it again until today. The restoration is finally finished and it sailed through the M.O.T. yesterday so I spent most of today out and about with the top down, enjoying the sun and the sound of the engine. The best bit of all was that my overheating paranoia was put to rest as the temperature stayed just below the half way mark. More sunshine forecast for tomorrow!

This is not just a Stag, this is a Mimosa Stag - well it will be soon.

Nice one Clive, enjoy. I've been using mine too, I'm still missing the chromed for front and rear though!

I might have used the term 'finished' loosely Jason, I'm missing a rear horseshoe too. It's a glorious day so another coffee to set me up then out for a spin.

I'm afraid I can't take any credit for that Dave, the hard work was all down to Matthew and his friend. Two days of driving and a few niggly little things, such as the plastic end on one of the carb link rod's snapped and the choke knob came off (it appeared to have been glued on in the past). All part of the joys of running an old car I guess.
