    Where's my horn?

Morning chaps. I had the pleasure of a run out to George Bernard Shaw's cottage in Hertfordshire last weekend. The route is along single track roads so frequent horn use was required. Alas my horn would embarrass Noddy! Opening the bonnet I cannot see it ( not surprising if the sound is an indicator of size it must be microscopic). There are no pictures in Haynes.

Can anyone tell me where it is so I can replace it with something less, well effete?

(Quite fancy on of those AWOOOGAHHH! horns but I'm not sure they're legal?)

You should have 2 . A Low & High Tone. they are behind the N/S headlamps, accessed via the the centre grill section.

You may find it's a case of just cleaning up the contact as one may not be working.

    Ian.

When they work they are loud. Easily the loudest horn out of the vehicles I drive.

Could have done with it in Italy this week, especially driving around Milan yesterday.

Little Miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet
        Eating her curds and corn
It wasn't the spider that frightened Miss Muffet
It was Little boy Blue with the horn.

I had a pair of aftermarket horns on the Stag which were a bit like that. Found an old set I'd kept in the bottom of a spares box from when I had an MGB 40 years ago. Stripped them down, cleaned the contacts and tuned them. They sound 'proper' now.

Hi, I have looped into the horn circuit via a relay a set of Triple Stebel air horns.
                  Cheers Ian A
