Hood Jig Bolts

Bit of forward planning for winter refurb list I am looking at taking the hood to resolve poor frame fitting and folding action. The ROM is not particularly specific but says that when refitting you should install JIG BOLTS to "each side of the Frame".

Has anyone used a jig bolts and if so where were they acquired from, the ROM gives details of the dimensions a bolt should be manufactured to but sadly I do not have access to a lathe.

You don't need them . Just use the ordinary bolts.

I had a nice shiny pair especially made and after fitting my refurbed hood, they're still nice 'n shiny coz they weren't used!

you really don't need them Nigel ,when refitting just lift the hood up and forward into header rail then get someone to tighten one bolt on each side to allow you to check the fit and closure before finish tightening .
