Haven't been on here for a while ....

... But thought I'd say hello and post a few pictures up of the classic I've been using this summer but now looking to sell as I still have my Stag but wanted a classic to use this summer. I got this off of one of the partners at my MOT garage as my dad had Rover V8's when I was a kid

It has only done just over 65k miles (had 64k when I got it) and has a lovely history in that it was built for a manager or director at Rover and is a factory registered car as is has an ".XC" registration.

I have an original bill of sale from 1975 also and every mot also plus original workshop manuals, toolkit and Jack etc etc

I won't go on about it but if anyone wants more info please send me a PM

    Thanks

    Darren

ps - I'd happily swap it for a nice stag also

    Beautiful Darren,

i had had two of these a 71 and a 73 but both autos, just loved the engine and the power of the car, out on their own in performance in those days
i keep looking to buy another but with 3 land rovers now of various types and the Stag my wife would probably get a little upset!
    good to hear from you

I'll have to drop by in it Mike you can have a proper look at it then - it would make a great stable mate for your stag

        Oh don't tempt me!
I think to be honest it would have to have a full length webasto...

That is the best justification for modern squirty goo or spacesaver spare wheels. I understand why Rover offered the external mount but what an aberration. Despite that it's a nice car especially in Zircon blue and very undervalued.

Great looking car..my Dad a new one in 1971 in the same colour tobacco leaf..it was a 2000TC though.
I made him take the hub caps off because that is what the police did with the motorway cars. They did that because under speedy acceleration they would lose the trims,apparantly..anyway as a 13 year old petrol head I thought it looked cool on ours..
He then went on to a beautiful dark green 3500 auto and after that came the Sd1's one of the very first 3500 and then a Vitesse..his last company car was a white Daimler Sovereign in 1982..

What a lovely car and super photos of it too. I have never had a P6 but I did have an SD1 V8 for a few years a while ago.
Drive a Stag every day... it's wonderful!

                Cheers for the kind comments

Mike if it had a webasto I'd be keeping it and selling the stag I think

Brian I wish I had of taken pictures of the Tahiti blue stag in the same location before I sold it to you
