The Stag has an engine that is strong and reliable, and when set up properly will run fine. But if something goes wrong causing overheating, and this is allowed to exceed a safe limit, this can be an expensive mistake as many owners have found out the hard way. In the past, you could spend all your time worrying and constantly watching the temperature gauge but now there is no need. Once you have fitted and set up the DTM, you can relax and enjoy driving your stag without worrying about an undetected overheat.
Simply fit in place of the ashtray with two screws, and plug into the 12 volt power supply. The remote thermal sensor is attached to a 2 meter extension lead allowing it to be fitted to a suitable point on the engine. All the parts needed are supplied in kit form, including fitting and user instructions.
Features of the DTM:
•Easy to fit and set up in minutes.
•Set your own alarm points
•Constantly monitors the engine temperature
•Automatically sounds the alarm
•3-digit digital LED display
•Fits in place of ashtray
•More accurate than conventional gauges
•Up to 125 deg C set point
•All parts included
•No permanent modifications required

If you were worried about the accuracy of your temp gauge, why not put the £40 this thing costs towards an accurate capillary Smiths gauge rather than some Chinese made module? Can't see the point of this at all - at least a clock would have had a use as the standard clock is temperamental and people bin it in favour of an oil pressure gauge.

So the right eye on the normal temp gauge and the left eye on the digital temp gauge, bit dangerous.
How does it look after your engine I wonder, does it cut out the engine at a certain high temperature whilst driving along?
I also thought that was what the header tank did, could always fit a second header tank.
Damn, mentioned it again.I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!

Funny thing is You have read it and I won't be sending it for a few years yet. Still seeing as I'm stuck here I might as well wait for the Stag to be developed and make my millions telling them what they got wrongLast edited by milothedog; 9 October 2015, 08:27.Wise men ignore the advice of fools, but fools ignore the advice of wise men sigpic
