MOT advisory

Car passed MOT,on the list of advisory items for the last two years,has been NS and OS steering arms,have minor play,at inner fixing.
Have been told that it's inside the rack,and this its a easy job( is there such a thing on a stag)
been told slide the rubber boot to one side,tighten the nut,replace boot.
A/ is that correct
B/ how much should I tighten nut
C/ should I have to have it retraced

Did mine a few years ago and replaced the inner cups with the new poly type LD PARTS had them when I did mine easy to do if the correct size spanners are to hand.
