Brake master cylinder

While my bodyshell is in the paint shop I am working my way through the boxes of bits and found evidence of a leak between the master cylinder extension and the servo. So I removed the two nuts as per the ROM and the damn thing will not separate.
Am I missing part of the process, or is it down to force to separate them? Possibly some sealant at the joint?

No nothing else to remove. Probably caused by leaking brake fluid breaking down the paint in the joint. I assume you are aware the MC is leaking and needs rebuilding? Craig

I am not aware of any other leaks, but staining suggested there was a leak between the MC and servo, which was why I wanted to separate the two to see what, if anything, was amiss.

Make sure there is no residual vacuum. I struggled to split mine and when I did there was a pop as the pressure released

I hadn't considered that. I shall return to the fight tomorrow evening.
