Yes it does! But it also says take a chainsaw....

I removed all the elbows to day to find that one needle is very slow coming down (or going up) while the other one works very freely. So first job is to loosen up the sticking needle.

Are you checking the slides with the dampers out ?

Even with the dampers in, they should close (slide down) fairly rapidly as the damper is a one-way device IIRC.

In any case, both carbs should behave the same. And there should be significant resistance to moving them up with the dampers in place.

So if there is oil in one but not the other they will both behave the same

Both are oiled the same. I tested with the dampers on. I moves up very freely the other has some resistance - I would call it 'significant'. The 'free' one drops with a click but the other descends smoothly but silently, if that is any help!

So if you check them with the dampers out then would eliminate them as being the problem. Then swop them if the problem transfers you have your culprit.

Yes - I checked the diaphragms about a week ago but will do so again this evening maybe one has torn in the meantime
