spark plug gap, anti freeze and oil change.

Hi all, I have 4 questions, any help appreciated. Spark plugs due for replacement. Gap is 28mm I think it should be should be 25mm? I have electronic ignition. Does the timing change with electronic ignition? Any recommendation for anti freeze type? Should the oil be replaced before 'lay up' or next year. Thanks Mark

    Mark that is some gap!!
When you buy your new Champion N12's they should be ok with the gap out the box.
The timing stays the same with electronic ignition and if you have blue anti-freeze in there at the moment I would stick with blue anti-freeze and try and get a 30% anti-freeze mix in there, too much anti-freeze like 50/50 impairs the cooling slightly imho.

25mm is 1" give or take, I think you mean 0.025"

Personally I'd go with 0.025" gap (25 thou) as opposed to 25 mm as even the best electronic ignition may have issues bridging that size gap
            Cheers

Some use a 0.030" gap with a sports coil or similar but 0.025" is the norm.

                    Mark,
I use Champion N11YC and set gap at 28/30 thou.I am using Luminition electronic ignition. However I would definitely check the plug gaps before installing.I have often found them to be all different.

On the oil side of things a lot of people on this forum use Valvoline VR1.
