good evening looking for some help please, can you fit mk1 outer door handles to a mk2 if you can what problems can I expect and what advise can anyone give .also would I be better off fitting new plastic lift handles at the same time .many thanks chris rochell ps could anyone recommend any suppliers for the above

The outer door handles are the same. Yes fit new lift handles or if you can find them the cast metal ones.
As for suppliers new plastic lift handles no problem door bowls well Hens teeth if you find a pair be prepared to dig deep

you can fit mk1 door handle bowls to a mk2,but you may have to drill another fixing hole,when rimmers remade them a few years ago they put three fixing holes in so they could be used for either car
if your changing the plastic lift,your need to reuse the rivet for the roller,theres also a e-clip thats easily mist on the rod
