Hard Top Adjustment - is there any?

    Hi All

Just wondered if anyone had a guide or knows where to find anything on how to adjust the hardtop for fitting purposes.

My hard top (not fitted yet this year) always seem so sit really high at the back window end. So it looks as though it is not as snug fitting as others.

I have only had it on for the duration of the winter last year. I removed the rear locating pin from the hard top which I thought might be causing it - but it made little difference.

    Your thoughts welcomed

    thanks

Have you looked at the feet in each corner? These are adjustable and can affect the height of the rear.

      Hi Jonathan,

Dave is, of course, quite correct about the adjustment of the 'feet' in the corners.

My hardtop sits very high and despite adjusting these feet ( indeed going so far as to actally remove them) it still sits too high. My next job - when I can find the time - is to try to lower the tonneau cover, by adjusting he fit of the hinges. If this doesn't work I'll take the fairly drastic step of removing tne seal (because it's a bu***r to get back in) as I'm conscious that it is fairly stiff - certainly more so than the original. If that sorts it then I just don't know what I'll do as softer seals don't seem to be available

So, sorry this isn't an answer but I hope it may give you some ideas.

      Cheers

      Julian

I probably shouldn't say this, but that somehow reminded me of a romantic episode in a lay-by in my student days!
        The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

Why do you think they fitted grab handles for rear seats in Morris Minors?

Feet in each corner? I'd keep that admission away from the RSPCA

No This is the point in my thread "Forum", this forum is much more fun when mixed with other things like this thread has been.

This forum will die if it becomes just an online technical resource
