    Wiper blades

    All,

Looking at replacing wiper blades, there appears to be two different types available, "speed blade" wire type and "texwipe" anyone know which were fitted as originals?

    Thanks in advance

Not sure of the make but there are ones made now that match the originals - Paddocks sell them @ £30 a set

I bought new wipers including arms from Paddocks 2 years ago, the wiper blades are rubbish!

The speed blade wire type were originally fitted, they have been unavailable for some time but now available again thanks to SOCTFL.
Dont think they were involved with the rubber bits.

I bought a set of the wire type this year. As said erlier, the wipers were rubbish, as the steel holders for the blades were made of mild steel and bent so easily. The originals were made of spring steel if i recall correctly. I relaced them with plastic holders and they worked fine. The only other problem was the h/f welding was very poor on one blade, and half of it fell off on the M1 at 70mph! Oh bother!!! Still, i think the original ones did that too!
