I just got back from the USA with a bottle of penetrating oil in my luggage and a visiting card from the American TSA who had opened my case to inspect it. Apparently penetrating oil doesn't appear on their list of prohibited materials....

Apparently it has "Highly Inflammable" all over the tin, I guess she could have decanted it in to a Vodka bottle to bring it over but I would probably ended up drinking it

Always thought that was a strange description. If a substance is flammable (i.e. will burn) then, using common parlance, something that is 'inflammable' won't burn

I all my years certifying dangerous cargo by air and sea, we were always told by the examining authorities to avoid using the term 'inflammable'. Substances were always 'flammable' or 'non-flammable'.

I hope the above remarks aren't considered inflammatory............
