On Stags which have the black rear panel, is the underside of the boot lid black? Just noticed a photo which shows it black. Mine is white.:? A photo showing which bit is black would be appreciated.

I don't have a book to hand, but shouldn't that flat area of the boot lid which includes the number plate lamps be black? I'm going off memory and it is failing so could be wrong.

My quick check through the book just says that the 'tail panel' is painted satin black for MkII's untl LD40001 when it reverts to body colour, i could not see any reference to the bootlid underside being painted to match.
Couldn't see a helpful picture either.

My very original Sapphire blue MK I 1/2 (which has never been painted) has a body colour boot lid, black back panel.
