Collected the car today. Black clouds, puddles everywhere, loads of spray on m23 but plenty of good songs on the ipod. Hood straight down and after a fairly miserable couple of weeks, happiness returned. Quite remarkable what my car does for my state of mind.

I hadn't used mine for a couple of weeks so I went out in it on Tuesday evening after work. Driving around in the dark with the roof down is an enjoyable experience, even in October. The Stags heater is ace!
Must get myself some gloves though:shock:

I was fine with the garage and I think they were ok with me in the end. If I hadnt been a member of this forum and if Russ hadnt spoken with them, it may well have been different. It just took too long, at least for me.The clutchfeels better as well, so I am happy.
It was interesting speaking with the owner of the garage. At the risk of starting a debate on parts/quality, he explained that classic car parts are becoming a major issue for him. I got the impression that he has a lot of returns that cost him lost ramp time whilst parts are in dispute. The only parts he spoke positivelyaboutwas the MG owners club and some austin parts.
The sun is out and I am looking forward to the hood-down drive home. 35 miles of noise and enjoyment!

Graham, I am glad you sorted it out with the garage and ended amicably, however only time will be the judge if they have got it right, give it 1000 miles, if it is still ok then, after anylubricant they have put on hasworn away from the pressure points, they have aligned it correctly. Besy of luck!!

I got caught on the phone with a customer when I was planning to leave and watched the sun go down. Lights on all the way home and it was proper freezing!!
