Replacement of Lower Radiator Support Panel

    Hi
Just wondering if someone can advise me on the position of the lower radiator support panel as I am just replacing it. The car when I brought it was completely stripped so there was no radiator fitted.
I think I understand how the valance fits to it but this position seems to make the radiator slope in towards the bottom and not upright is this correct ?
    Thanks for any help

      Welcome aboard John

Difficult to say on positioning the rad support panel, If the engine and viscous is in place I would hang the rad from the top mounts and aim for a consistent gap down either side against the "front" engine bay panels either side of the rad. then see how the lower rad support panel lines up when bolted to the rad. maybe a few self tappers or pop rivets to hold things in place while you line up other panels.

my stag has a nice even gap down either side of the rad and it still has its original lower rad support panel.

Thanks very much for moving the post and the welcome I am new to this, better at getting my hands dirty than playing on computers .

Thanks very much, have done what you advised and lined it up with the side panels but it was just the fact that the radiator seems to slope towards the front of the car at the bottom wasnt sure if the support bracket was in the right place I assumed it would hang Vertical but having not seen one in a complete car I did not know.
            Thanks for your help

              Hi Tony
Thanks for picture it confirms what I thought about the position of the support rail but in that position there is no way the radiator will be vertical it slopes towards the front of the car at the bottom.
One other question does the valance fix right underneath the support rail or to the upper flange on the rail judging by the wire position in the photo it looks like it goes underneath very confusing on my car because its had accident damage and so many bodge ups it difficult to know what is correct,
              Thank again for your help
