    Stag Mk 1.25?

I have a late Mk1, registered August 1972, and it has a Mk2 radiator which I am told they fitted to late Mk1 cars (you learn something every day).

Also have a Mk2 type air filter (with cold air intake) which looks oroginal.

Since people describeearly Mk2 cars (which were made with some Mk1 bits) as Mk1.5, should I call minea Mk1.25?

I think the 1.5 usually describes the pre- LD 20001 cars which have some of the official MK II bits fitted.

you can call it whatever you like.... just enjoy it for what it is !

    cheers....Andy

Only a relatively few very early cars had the twin trumpet air filter and 'Mk1' cooling system.

The more common set up started in late 1971, although it was a while before the inlet manifold was changed. My last car (LD10567O, built Dec 1971) had 'Mk2' cooling and air filter, but a Mk1 manifold.

My current car (LD25425BW, built Dec 1973) is more of a Mk1.5. Full-blown Mk2 is reckoned to be from LD30000.

      Anorakback on the pegagain.
