SOCTFL would like to announce that standard thickness head gaskets, Part Number GEG3305, are now available as a result of a collaboration with Abinger Hamer Motors. The gaskets have been manufactured in the UK by BG Automotive and are initially on sale to retail customers via LD Part or ask your preferred supplier.

Good news for those of us that want a decent quality standard thickness gasket.
I stockpiled a few payen gaskets some years ago but am down to my last pair having stupidly dropped a washer into the cylinder on one engine a few years ago meaning I had to remove a head to extract it.

Did that on the lawnmower the other day. By I was mad with myself. Luckily due to the nature of the qualcast (Believe it or not it isn't very high performance) some sealer and the old gasket was satisfactory.
