Hi Neil

You unzip your soft top and roll it up inwardly and the straps then clip onto the lower soft frame at the back and it holds the rear window in place. I do that quite often as when really hot, the air can travel through the car with the windows with the top up

Here you go Neil, just taken some images. You simply tuck the window underneath and using the elasticated straps, you fasten to each side where on the frame should be a popper on each side

We're these straps fitted to all models or added later.My Mk 2 1975 hasn't got any but I like the idea of being able to roll up the window for use in the real hot weather with the soft top up?������

I think all original soft tops had them so possibly your car has had material replaced

Thanks Andrew,Itcould have been replaced but the interior looks original.Will make a close inspection and see whether they have once been fitted and possibly removed by a PO

There are 2 1/8 holes in the rear hood rail to take the press stud the 2 rails I have both have these holes but nowt else
