Biggest improvements in 2015 - what were yours?

I thought I would start our own annual review, themed along the lines of the most useful stuff you did this year to improve your car. I did quite a bit, but the single biggest improvements were these (relatively) simple ones:
    - new HT leads, distributor cap, rotor arm (regained about five horses and clean revs all way)
    - new track end rods and ball joints (really tightened up the steering)
Not very expensive but real impact on driver enjoyment of the car (all sourced from Peter at LD Parts).
    PK Happy New Year!

    Mine was MOT.
I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!

Mine was removal of the ash tray and replacing it with an IPod Touch, fixed behind the aperture, so only the glass panel shows. Amplifier in the boot with large Bass speaker. I can now enjoy crystal clear music all controlled from the iPod or indeed any iOS device that is in range of the car, ie passenger.

Mr Blue Sky all day long for me in the summer ! And yes I can still turn off the music and listen to the music of the engine whenever I please.

Overhauled cooling system: replaced water pump with external electric pump, replaced viscous coupling, installed auxiliary electric fan and installed landerover type expansion tank. Changed all coolant metal piping to shiny stainless steel.

Putting the engine back together helped quite a lot.

Overhauled manual gearbox, renewed clutch and pressure plates. Rehoused the battery under the spare wheel. Fitted new window 1/4 light rubbers.

Same here, I like that idea, was going to do similar with a sat nav but decided the hole wasn't big enough. Might have to have another look now

A lot of people do this with LR Freelander 2s, they fit a Tom Tom in a dash recess, the reason I'm saying this is they have found a way to upload the LR green oval as the home screen so I would think it could be substituted for the Stag emblem which would look cool

If anyone is interested I'll try and find a link

                              Ian.
