Before I invest in new LED lighting, can I assume that the LED equivalent bulbs will work in the Stag? I can find the Lucas equivalents (380 & 382) on the web but will the 4xLED 382s work with the standard flasher unit? Anybody experience?

I very much doubt it as they will not take enough current. You will need to change your flasher unit to an electronic type as sold by LD Parts. Simple to fit, does need the addition of an earth wire though.

Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
So many cars, so little time!
As stated, ordered part yesterday afternoon; it arrived this morning. Excellent service from LD Parts and Royal Mail considering I live in North of Scotland.
I've used a Metro / Sherpa electronic flasher unit for many years, but when I fitted LED indicator bulbs, I needed to fit a resister on each line for them to work at normal speed. This is what I had to fit: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/led...BdqhoCQ8Lw_wcB
I believe that some bulbs have resisters built-in, so wait & see how yours work.
For those that are about to switch all,, or most lights, over to LEDs and believe you me well worth doing, may I suggest that you go to the Moss site and click on videos, then fitting LEDs and they have a VERY informative 13 minute instructional video on fitting LED bulbs, and why you need two resistors, one for each side of the car plus an electronic flasher unit.
Well worth watching even if you know before hand what you are doing, even more so if you are an average Stag electrician!!
Your Stag at night can be seen from the rear far better and with LED instrument lights no need to get out a flash light to see what the instruments are telling you.

Great call Robin. When I get the bulbs, I will try it all in stages. Just discovered that PO had already rewired with electronic flasher together with wiring loom for trailer lights. Amazing what you find when delving into electrics. Currently too cold in my unheated garage (varying between -1 and +1C) to do much. I guess Ontario would be even colder still.
Thanks again, well worth a view by anyone wanting to go down the LED route.
