need to refix the drivers door panel AGAIN as it insists on parting company with the door frame along the bottom so while it's off I need to sort the window which goes up and down like a goodun but just recently doesn't know when to stop as it gets to the top and continues to bounce up and down if you keep your finger on the switch. passenger side is ok and stops as should without the overshoot. is there a limit switch somewhere or some other mechanism that detects the end of travel. I can live with it by judging when to let go of the switch but it's a pain, any ideas out there ?:X

I've no experience of this problem but on reading the ROM, it says that the window lift circuit breaker on the component mounting unit behind the parcel shelf is designed to protect anyone who gets their fingers trapped in the window as it is going up. That is, the window will stop lifting when it encounters resistance. I would have thought this applied when it reaches the limit of its travel also.

However, there is only one of these for both windows so I can only suggest that your drivers sidemight bewired wrongly, missing the circuit breaker out of circuit. It might be worth a check.
