    From Weber to EFI

I see Webcon have introduced a TBI replacement for twin choke downdraft carbs such as 38DGAS. Makes conversion to EFI much simpler. Just need a basic Megasquirt and high pressure fuel supply. Assuming you have already overcome the breather problems.

If you could get the manifold adaptor at a reasonable price, the Carb replacement is £400 + maybe £500 for megasquirt and fuel pump will give you the drivability fuel consumption advantages of EFI.

edit: basic Ms1 kit is £300 in tank fuel pump as Stagdad did maybe £50 or less from a scrapper + lot of welding expertise. Complete EFI for £800 possibly, bargain.

Don't think the home minister will allow me to spend any more money on the Stag John!

    Would be nice though

Very tempting, thanks for the heads up Koy.

Makes the Holley efi seem a bit over priced.

        cheers Glenn

Interesting, but the 2 38mm intakes are still smaller than the stags normal 44mm (13/4" Stroms).

No need to go to a scrapper for an in tank pump John, they are only £30 new ( classic Range Rover efi)

Wonder if they could get re-bored to make them larger ?

The main bore on the Weber 38 is 40mm. It is the venturii in the carburettor that is 38mm.

Tony Hart converted Stroms into throttle bodies, Kept it looking original

Just like the Patton TBI system, which costs a bit more but is a complete kit.
