    Rear seat base fitting question

Having just recovered the base of the rear seat, I thought I'd just slot it into place. I can't work pout how it is ecured - if I remember when I took it out so many years ago it just "fell out in me 'and guv".

Is it supposed to sit inside the lip of the heel board at the front? If so, it's a flippin' tight squeeze! Or is there some other way of keeping it in place apart from gravity?

    Cheers

Drew, it sits inside the lip, mines a bit of a tight squeeze too. Just push the rear of the base under the bottom of the back rest and push down!

    cheers

      Hi Jason,

I was just back out in the garage to try again to do just that and, all of a sudden, it just clicked into place, but with the seat frame edge in front of the heel board! Hmmmmm...... now it gets interesting. The ROM says to hook the wire behind the flange but that makes no sense at all....

        Drew,

FWIW I've never managed to get the rear seat squab to fit behind the front flange of the heel board with any Stag.

As long as you don't take it to Australia, it'll be fine
