Definitely SORN'd - not SORE! -but just SORN'd the Stag as I want to resolve the rear end twitch and cure the rather noisy and badly leaking diff. Loads of other little jobs to do but the rear end is first.
Question is - do I buy a secondhand diff and take a chance, or do I remove mine, send it to someone reputable for a rebuild and hope the CW&P is OK and it can be re-set to quieten it down? (Tony Hart recommended not swopping the CW&P if at all possible.)
Easiest and quickestmay be to buy another diff., but with so many tales of noisy ones, I may end up back in the same boat? Also want to renew trailing arm bushes etc so may become a major task. Seen the article in Triumph World - doesn't it make it look easy.
Any suggestions/recommendations - live in the Midlands and prefer local suppliers.
