Neil. I like it, but I suspect there may be problems with "Authorities" when it comes to "Sharp objects" and pedestrians. There is probably a website somewhere to let you know. I had a mascot mounted on the air inlet grille in front of the windscreen and was warned about it.

Perhaps I'm on my own here but it looks "tacky" I think only RR should have bonnet ornaments.

No you're not JO, the RR ones disappear into their holes when in danger.

Tacky is right and as Kenny Everatt said 'in the best possible taste !'- looks great on the Volga with such presence with curved bonnet.

Though long and hard about it but drilling a hole was the final straw- hence didn't buy it.

FYI you can buy them in the Russian Federation on line new / used / repo ( I work with Russian's )- actually would look great as a Stag Owners club prize mounted on a base.

There was a stall at the Bromley Pageant last year that had one for sale, IIRC he wanted about £80 but one of the front legs had been broken off (he did have the broken bit)

Big change in Construction and Use Law about the time those awful rubber bumpers got stuck on some models, and Jaguar were forbidden from using their traditional 2 tanks in the rear wings. All American demands, although the latter was due to their AMC Pacer spilling its guts.

During the same period, fixed Jaguar Leapers became illegal here, Merc Roundels folded flat(ish) all of a sudden and as said above, the Spirit of Ecstacy learned the trick of jumping into her trapdoor. I think the razor blade M'cycle front numberplate was banished around the same time too.

The Volga was very wierd to ride in, but Moscovian driving is something else anyhow!
