Just saw a clip of the new film High Rise staring Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller,
Anybody know the stag Reg WEA610M
Not been Mot'd since May2013 and Tax ran out July 2014
This film was made in the Belfast Titanic Studios. Alex, one of our Northern Ireland members, had restored the Stag but decided that his Stag days were over so put it up for sale. It was bought by the Director of the film,a Stag devotee, on guarantee that it would not be trashed. About six months later when Alex was invited to the studio s he was shown a mangled heap of blue Stag complete with his numberplate thrown on top, but before he had his coronary the Director drove up in the immaculate French Blue Stag which Alex had restored. Apparently the company bought several Stags which were beyond repair and repainted them for the 'damage' scenes. If you view the various trailers you will see some inconsistencies in the Registration numbers. The film has already been released in the US and is presently on pre release showings through the UK.
I'm told its a pretty steamy story, but that the Stag does have a fair bit of show time.
Meanwhile Alex's Stag lives, and not with one of the registrations which appear in the film.
