Your gonna look like the Clampetts if you turn up in that, which one of you is going to dress like Elle May

I should have said the ear bleeding stag not the yank tank. As it happens I am known as Hill billy at work

So today I worked on the centre console. I have a clock where the ash tray should be. The centre vent is a bitch to re-install. The replacement loom for the OD leaves a lot to be desired. The wires and plugs are so difficult to feed though the gear lever I might go off piste with that one. I've still to finish the gear lever surround and I might have a bash at making a new dash for the clocks this coming week whilst I'm up in Scotland as the old one is delaminating quite badly. Still to do, fit new radio with DAB and FM aerials on the windcreen, B-post covers, T-bar cover, tonneau cover, gear and brake lever gaitots, door cards, external LED lights (internal done already), door locks, PAS belt, speedo and tacho - all ready, hopefully for New Forest run.

Ordered some parts off the internet with a view to sorting out our Stag's vibration issue. Then went for a good drive in our GT6

Finished decorating my son's bedroom and took the cover off the Stag that has been outside under its cover whilst I used the garage for working in. Started first time, took it for a drive and now its back in its bed and back to normal

I have had my dashboard out and refitting it and centre console, like yours not easy. Not sure if routing of wiring to window switches etc, \also realised that the dashboard support panel was missing entirely (part 517711) got a secondhand unit, looks like my car has never had one before as bolt holes covered over with the vinyl.

Mine is shortly to be thrown out of bed so that one with HGF can go in for surgery - just hope it isn't too wet outside when it does... don't need any more rust

I have, but despite the huge cost, it's rubbish - it's a Moltex that started splitting at the seams due to poor "welding" after 5 months and HC didn't want to know - apparently their warranty doesn't exist but they told me what glue to buy....

Their previous one lasted 5 years until I caught and ripped it, so bought another - unfortunately this one despite having gone up in price appeared to be made by Kleenex and as watertight as my kitchen colander - still, it made me clear the garage so I could get my car in so the £160 was not totally wasted....

You may detect a teensy bit of anger in this....

This turned up at the weekend.. Does anyone want to tell me what colour it is, genuine question, I have no idea, but I quite like it and will paint it again this colour before rebuilding it. Ive got to put some rain gutters on it, and repair a few bodges, but its 10 times better than snotters. That and its a MK2 shell and mines a mark one , so I need to find a couple of old Mk2 doors to gut for handles and locks etc. From what I have read its the lock itself the striker, the door handles (outer and inner) and the rods that are all different. Can someone confirm that's the case maybe?

Anyway it should look alright when its done, hopefully it may be finished quicker than my spitty (5 years so far!)

Ive got Mk2 doors with it Milo, and bonnet and boot, but no fittings. So I have a Mk2 shell and doors, but snotters being the donor is a 1. So I need to either find a couple of crappy mk2 doors I can whip the relevant bits off of, or buy them seperately. Option 1 is easier then I can copy across and get all the little clips too. I know of a passenger one already, so I need to find a drivers one. A couple of rain gutters, and a battery box to tack in and we are bgood to get it off to paint. And I need to decide whether to seam seal the wing to windscreen panel gap. (I have no idea what it looks like below the wings, and have no intention of finding out short term!)

Yep that looks the same colour. Its really nice , so Im going to go with it again .
