Finished installation of relays and wiring of o/s part of conversion to all 4 dip and all 4 main using circuit I published in another thread, tested extensively with meter and all seems to work as hoped. Will hope to install new headlight units with H4 halogens tomorrow and will take a photo with o/s new c/w with n/s as original.

Funnily enough I did the same but modified my Wards kit so that I only have 4 on main and not as it is designed to do with all 8 on main.
The only problem with all 8 alight is the headlight glass gets seriously hot but the lighting is quite remarkable.
I used the method of modifying the main/dip switch so that the dips switch off when main is selected - details were also in here in another post rom Renfrewshire...

Having recently completed a body refurb and head gaskets, and leccy waterpump,i have just successfully completed a 200 mile round trip at motorway speeds without any body bits(the cars) falling off or overheating. Yeeehaaa, sucsess! Such a good feeling . Only took around 18 months to complete.

Did a tip run. Took an old bench (Brocken up and fitted in the boot) 3 suitcases stacked on the back seat and an old computer. Old boy at the tip asked if it had problems with the heads warping! He was surprised to hear I've had it 11 years without overheating and that the Stag is used and abused!

                      Changed the oil & filter.
Changed the o/s front wheel bearings & seal.
Stripped a couple of door cards for refurbishment.
Measured up for the bracket to fit the speedometer sensor to the front o/s wheel.

Looked at mine in the garage and reminded myself to get some decent polish before I take it away to work with my local Stag specialist and swop the engines over. Also worked up a cunning plan to get tomorrow's lunch guests help put the hard top on. I am temporarily disabled with tendonitis and have been banned from lifting heavy weights.

We stayed 3 days at Rye late last month very nice, Hastings does not get my vote, like a larger Great Yarmouth.
