SO what did you you do with your Stag today?

I just leave mine in the garage in neutral, hand brake off and sometimes with the battery conditioner connected. My cover is indoor only and is like a micro fleece. Haven't started my car for over a month, in fact the cover hasn't been off it in that time. No way is it going out in the salt!

I agree Stan,that's why the other day when I brought it out I didn't take it for a run because although it was sunny the roads had been gritted and I see no reason to take it out if I don't have to.The cover I have came with the car and is a soft cloth with zips down the side and taped seams. I do open up the garage door if we get a mild sunny day,just to ventilate it a bit. The underside of my car is painted in bodywork colour so there's no underseal or anything but it has been given a spray with some light oil.The previous owner did waxoyl all the chassis sections a couple of times and everything is sound.

Always leave any car in gear when parked, whether in the garage or otherwise. It is a good habit to get into. Never rely solely on a handbrake.

As my car will be laid up for a few months I used wooden chocks under the front wheels and left the hand brake off. It's in neutral but can't actually go anywhere because there's a workbench at the back of it.

My garage is flat, the car doesn’t move unless I give it a good shove, it’ll only hit the garage door if it was ever to move, my drive is then up hill

My garage is on the flat too. The Stag is in Park. My other cars are on a flat driveway and are in gear. As I said, it is a good habit to get into. So many reports of cars running away having been left with the hand brake on, but in neutral. Can’t happen in gear or Park.

Must try harder to remember...........intended to kick her up, move her around the yard ( so the bearings etc don’t stick in the same place ) over inflate the tyres a little and put the battery on trickle charge. Ah well, tomorrow’s job now?

Speaking of 2nd cars, I wonder how many of us are like me, and own only their Stag?.
For me it has been my daily driver for the past 13 years (although I have owned it for over 23 years, the first 10 years alternating use of it with a W123 Merc).
I did take it out today in the Sunshine, although I have now put the hardtop on as it is getting cool at nights.

Not seen our Stag for about 6 weeks. Keep meaning to pop down there to start her up and put the hardtop on but work and the weather keep getting in the way

Jay, over the last few days, i’ve had that Merc that I dare not play with! Couldn’t even get it out of the drive ’til Tuesday and, shall we say it’s not suited to the snow..........oooeerrr! Need to put a couple of slabs, or sacks of spuds in the boot?

Went out to the SOC local Christmas dinner last evening in my Stag. The only Stag there....

Went to Kineton Sports Social Club gathering, weather not helpful but about a dozen cars and some motorbikes. Bacon butties and mince pies.

And 3 Stags including mine!
