It was appropriate to pay our respects to a very brave man who worked for the club right to the end. Also good to meet members and ex members whose contributions are sorely missed.

Six of us Jeff, five of us were able to take our cars much to the families delight. From what we could see there was not even a bunch flowers from the SOC.

Poor show as far as I'm concerned.............

Well all I can say is well done you lot and what a nice gesture you all made, I certainly would have attended rain or shine even though I don’t take mine out in the rain but I would have made an exception in this case.

This forum is certainly not what it used to be unfortunately.

Had a good weekend out in Stag, Friday did a trip to Brewery, Saturday Stratford on Avon, Sunday local Classic Car meet and local drive around afterwards. All went well!

Locked myself out of mine on Saturday. Locked the driver’s door, heard an unusual ‘click’, and the key barrel kept turning. Luckily I could open the passenger door, then reach across and open the driver’s door from the inside. On removal of the door card, the small spring clip that connects the key barrel cylinder to the lock had snapped. Lengthy rummaging in my parts bins unearthed a spare lock mechanism with a couple of the clips attached.
Yesterday, I drove it to our area AGM, which had a fantastic turnout of Devon members and 4 Stags in the car park.

Cheating really ‘cos it was Sunday (yesterday); Had Stagatha running, washed off, vacuumed and then ran it to the garage, Re-fuelled with Super Unleaded and returned back to dry it all off, cover it and put it away for a couple of weeks. A little bit disappointed with the 23 mpg average, but not fuelled since September and it’s been mostly static running for the last couple of months!

Drove to work today, might not sound too exciting - but much better than last Friday...
Mrs W decides I can be trusted to go to Morrisons to get critical shopping for urgent cooking. I get Stag out of the garage for the first time since MOT in November, he fires up and off we burble to Morrisons. So far so good.
However Morrisons don't have critical items, so I have to get home sharpish for further shop runs. Except Stag decides to lose power on the A13, missfire like it's the latest fad, then gracefully die at the top of Bread and Cheese hill in the middle of the rush hour. Gosh, how popular we were. So, after Mrs W/Stress/New car/Electric handbrake/Stress/Broken tow rope and infinitum Stag ends up bag in the garage and much in the bad books.
Several days later, I had a rummage and noticed the timimg light only flickered occassionally when running at lumpy idle. And it did it on all cylinders. I figured it must be the HT side of things breaking down under load, so went to the distributor cap.
                            Dist cap.jpg

Gosh, carbon brush gone walkabouts, and a smidgen of dampness to make things worse.
Today, we have our new distributor cap on, and we burbbled to work just fine. Trouble is, the gritters will out again tonight so I need to make the most of the journey home...

Time is the most valuable thing anyone can give , I attended one of my customers funeral recently , Hilda was a wonderful lady in her 90s and paying my respects was the least I could do. She knitted us hats and most of her work cost a cupa tea bless her , things like her plug chain breaking.
These people are slowly leaving us and I'm not sure they will ever be replaced
If there was no effort made by the Soc then that's rather sad , well-done forum members for giving up your time .

Started the old girl up, not started since late November and not started since fitting Quad pipes, took her for a run, pumped the tyres up, add added some fresh fuel.
