SO what did you you do with your Stag today?

Went for a local run out in the sunshine this morning. Kept the hood up as it was quite chilly still. Very nice 14 mile run.

Fitted the ball valves to the carburetters, they’ve been on the shelf for a year.
Also adjusted the door catches so the doors open easily.
And I took the hardtop off.

Having got sick of persistent hydraulic seep from PAS system, which despite regular attention, would empty reservoir onto garage floor over a 3 week period, I converted to Corsa B electric assisted system. Finished today, feels nice and steady with controllable assistance via a rheostat

Brought back some old memories - my caravan hasn't been used for quite a few years, and it is very old (but still serviceable, although in need of some TLC). An acquaintance asked if I was thinking of getting rid of it, and I have been wondering what to do with it - it is worth nothing to sell. So I said he could have it, and this morning, I used the Stag to tow it to his house. As I said, a number of years since I last towed it, but it all seemed so familiar, and brought back memories of many continental touring holidays (although the weather for them was usually a lot better!!)

Me and my 11 year old son wheat to our garage and with the engine out cleaned the engine bay
took out the oil drenched sound proofing and hooves all the rubbishy up

Drove mine from Bristol to Boscastle. It rained most of the way but stopped when we got there!

Pre MOT check yesterday; swopped the wheels round and went for a burst into the Peak District. Softop still up

Took Grandkids to Trafford Centre..going into town tonight to gig at Bridgewater Hall so get rinsed at the NCP...bought a set of Mirrorline Black and Silver number plates..see if I like the look of them?

A corsa steering column is electric , with a motor built-in to the column,the motor is really big,you would need to adapt the corsa column to join on to the stag column I'm trying to do this in a Dolomite

The Corsa set up is used on a lot of kit cars now including the dax cobra ...perhaps another line of enquiry.
