Passed its mot yesterday and went out for a run with the top down to Bridgnorth. Pleased to say that the new stagweber fusebox has finally cured what in hindsight was a faulty electrical connection causing intermittent misfire problems that gave me many head scratching moments. Looking forward to the outing over the next few months

Bridgnorth? You should’ve carried on a little further to sleep Airport and met us all for a brekky!

Would love to have gone for two reasons, Bridgnorth is my home town and where the Stag spent its first 43 years with my parents. Sleap aerodrome was where I proposed to my wife as I was downwind to land our aircraft. Shame that we had so much to do, plus the Stag is still pretty grubby in the shiny bits that matter to me.

Went over to Evesham and met Clive T who is fitting me a nice gearbox. On the way from Shrewsbury last half hour of the journey lost 3rd on the old BW35! 40 mph 3,000 revs but made it, journey back in a few days going to be so much better!

just for info i ran the bw35 at minimum level and although it didnt lose atf it wasn't to many miles before it lost 3rd so keep at max level and carry on cleaning up!

Put a 1mm spacer beind the back of the indicator switch as the stalk has always been too far away from the steering wheel.
this has moved it to a better place.

Niger. ...best thing you can do...Clive did mine last November ...like a different car.

It's Nigel actually Phil. Yes looking forward to it, do you need to replace the driveshafts to get rid of all the clocks or does the new gearbox mostly sort things out?

90-mile round trip from Exeter to Bigbury in glorious sunshine. Had the confidence to leave the Stag roof down all day. Summer is here at last! What happened to Spring?

                      Hi NIGER
                      OOOOPPPSSSS Sorry
Had replaced my driveshafts with cv units before the box was changed, but still have a slight clonk from the diff.
you will need a new gear change legend (available on the site)
working on a new gear change trim and will try to do another legend with the markings to suit.

Went to an evening meeting in the Stag with top down. Came back in the dark to test the new headlight wiring (Wards) along the country roads. My god there's actually a road out there & I can now see the potholes before I hit them

Used the Stag two days running, waiting for tyres to revert to fully circular after winter lay up, but its only minor 'wobbliness'. First time with wind deflector, makes a hell of a difference.
Clutch a bit iffy, very low biting point but no slippage so hoping its hydraulic rather than new clutch, but if it is, a new clutch will be had.

My 67 Singer Chamois Coupe in for last 'compulsory' MOT before exemption, annoyingly delivery co must have tied it a bit too tightly to truck as both track rods bent, so being fixed - then its Prescott here we come!

Last compulsory MOT today - passed! Now, do I go for annual or biennial tests in future?

Weather was great so went out for a 30 mile run round the Peak District, fabulous way to spend some time listening to that gorgeous TV8 sound. Sadly I need to sell her as other projects are waiting.
