Today, found several reasons to go out and about (no shopping errand too small). Car was faultless in 26 C. Water temp fine, oil pressure about 50 lbs at 30 mph and 28-30 lb at tickover.

Last night out to the local SOC meeting at the Chequers at Houghton Conquest, North Beds. Great ‘spirited’ drive back in the dark with the top down.

Fitted new rear brake shoes and repaired one “destroyed” adjuster that had disintegrated and ground itself around the hub/drum. Saved by DJT who kindly provided a spare at short notice. Rear shoes need bedding in, handbrake not brilliant yet, but hopefully be better after Drive it Day tomorrow. Thanks Dave, I owe you one, or two (beer tokens) as discussed

8 Stags (1 x Delph Blue, 1 x Carmine Red and 6 in Primer) completed the 110-mile Drive-it-Day run into Dorset today, much of it in mist and fog! Brunch at Hive Beach Cafe, then on to Kingston Maurward House, where we drove past all the other classics in the car park to park up right in front of the main house. We then had a private tour of the house and gardens before enjoying a nice cream tea in the house.

WOW, 435 miles well done. I only went as far as Brooklands. A good turn out of cars including a couple more Stags.

To the driver of the yellow Stag, with the hood up, driving through Woburn in Bedfordshire at just after 12’ish, if you had checked your mirrors, you would have seen another 8 Stags on the SOC Bedfordshire drive it day - you went off towards Leighton Buzzard, we did a 50 mile run around mid Bedfordshire. I hope you had a good day out?

I got a coat of epoxy on my newly media stripped body shell, now I can relax and take my time. That transmission tunnel lip was a mess after being attacked by the PO fitting a 5 speed, pleased with the result so far but it will need more attention.
Aside from the engine, the rest of the car is in my attic, I hope it doesn't collapse! You do not have permission to view this gallery.
