Weather on the way was pretty awful, dry while we were there, took almost 3hours to get home due to traffic and basically old people not wanting to go faster than 35mph.

We took the Stag to Aberystwyth for a run, it’s not been out for 5 weeks plus I had to have the radiator fixed, while that was being done I had an extra connection fitted for the HT.

Just retrieved my Stag after 33 days in storage whilst we have been away on our travels.
Started on 1st turn of the key and just drove it home and parked it.
Will shortly fit the new wooden gear selector knob I picked up at the Tatton Show, then go on a run.
Presently editing all the holiday photos, have posted the Tatton Park ones, and currently doing the ones taken at the Speyer Techick Museum in Germany, and will post the Link in my "Speyer Museum" thread when done.

Just cleaned the inside as, whilst it was parked on my drive, top down, what must have been a flying elephant defecated from a height. The emissions hit the tee-bar, both front seats, rear seats, inside of the draft screen, passengers window and door card, seat belt and carpets. B******!!!!!!!!!Dave

Having retrieved it from storage, took the Stag on a decent run this Tea time to see some friends who live about 10 miles away.
No real problems except for a loud squeak from the power steering on full lock (need to oil).
Tomorrow will use the car to retrieve the wife's Honda which today passed it's "MOT" (ITV), but the garage who have it won't finish servicing it till tomorrow, another decent little run for the Stag.
Got to say that both the Stag and the Honda are a nicer drive than the new Astra hire car we had whilst in Chester.

Just got back from a 220 mile drive round the Western Lake District, including Coniston,Buttermere,ThirlMere, Derwent Water and Windermere. One highlight was exciting drive over Hardknott pass which has hairpin bends and 1:3 gradients but the views are spectacular. My car ran like a dream and the weather was great.

To confirm that the mis fire problem had gone away I went for a 145 mile run out in our Stag today.
Outward route was
Crewe - Whitchurch - Wem - Baschurch - Llynclys- Llanfyllin - Lake Vrynwy
Return route was via
Bala - Llangollen - Overton - Whitchurch - Audlem - Crewe
The route included 9,800 feet of ascents so the Stag was working a lot of the time
Roof down all the time.
Regards
Bruce

Went to Chatsworth Country Fair along with 10 other Stags. 50+ veteran cars and only 2 car clubs there; ourselves and Morgan Car Club - seem to be the only ones allowedPlenty of visitors and we gave away a few membership forms. Good fellowship and brilliant display by Household Cavalry, Dancing Diggers capped off by BoB Memorial Flight Lancaster
