Tightened up the port side cam cover having allowed the RTV sealant to harden over night. Then attacked the starboard side cam cover. Tightening down will have to wait till I get back from Milan but really anxious to see whether or not the RTV has solved the leaking D cups.
BTW does any body want to buy a pair of cam covers. The starboard side is different to mine. Just been repainted and bought off a fellow SOC member in good faith. Now not needed. Could be for a Mk1?

Took mine to the garage today and took the propshaft off, then took the radiator out while waiting for my lift home.

Planning applications are a good time to settle old scores, and privacy is always a big issue. Council's frequently get it wrong - from protecting privacy too much to not doing so at all and are the bane of my life.

How did you get on drafting it?

This is off subject and sorry for that - are the Mk 1 and Mk2 cam covers different?

Broke down 500 metres from my drive. Wanted to test the success or otherwise of my efforts to stop the leaking D cups spilling more oil on my garage floor! Local Stag expert diagnosed a failed electronic ignition. Just as well to find this out now rather than on arrival in Brittany in 10 days time.
                    Hope this is on subject.

Anything connected with the Stag is on topic. I did nothing today but yesterday I fitted my Kenwood DAB/FM radio with both aerials mounted on the windscreen and was able to test the sound quality of those speakers with single cone/two tweeters. I used a 7x5 unit and had to drill two holes with my angle drive to match up to the central lugs. Then refitted the glovebox (with my re-veneering) looks OK but more fettling needed. Next up is a massive mod to the OD set up switching wise (brought on by the sad quality of the slide switch and looms)

Luminition. A new system will be purchased and installed PDQ. As we are going to France I am also going to by pass the fuel cut out as it looks old and brittle and could be a source of problem. Will reconnect it when we get back. Management is unhappy at prospect of a possible unreliable car! The Alvis has managed it even with a head gasket blowing exhaust into the cooling.

Well, to me it seems quieter, I don't have an oil pressure gauge so I don't know if there is any increase!
