Good link to a fascinating account of a unique car, and interesting to see what 14.5 litres can do to a gearbox, and how it was put right.Originally posted by jbuckl View PostWent to Feckenham Wake, a genteel worcestershire event in Feckenham.
First time there, worth a look next year I think.
there was a 1917 La France 14.5 litre roadster put-futing in.

Today ,I just tore off the old soft top, original 1973, and transparent to light and water!

That's the trouble with getting old - things wear out and don't work anymore like they used to.Originally posted by Staggard View PostSo you've got a rusty ball and a rusty ring sounds terminal to me
What with poor hearing and failing eyesight I may need to put myself in part-exchange for something better.
Alternatively we've just got a new massage lady on our complex, maybe I should let her work some magic
on me to see if she can improve things.

Paul, as I stated in an earlier post, the washing and polishing if a car is best done by Polish lads, usually 3-4 of them. You don't even need to get out of the car!Originally posted by Paul Roberts View PostFitted rear bumper. All very shiny. I like shiny things.
Conducting further research into "washing/polishing car"
Not convinced by what I've read so far.....

That's ok for your daily, but your Stag deserves better doesn't it?Originally posted by stagstan View PostPaul, as I stated in an earlier post, the washing and polishing if a car is best done by Polish lads, usually 3-4 of them. Both my modern and Stag deserve, and get better. I use 2 buckets of water, 1 just has clean water to rinse off my lambs wool mitt. I have wheel woolies for the wheels. The wife complains that it takes about 2 hours to wash her car and about hour and half to wash the stag.Originally posted by Another Peter View PostThat's ok for your daily, but your Stag deserves better doesn't it?

Opened the garage doors… looked at it …and cried…again !
Once 'er indoors allows me to stop renovating the house I can kick start the resto again ! Annoying part is I have most if not all the body panels / repair panels to do it along with box loads of new parts, tools I've been snapping up off ebay / auto jumbles along the way. AND heaps of enthusiasm bursting to get my hands on it again!

Employ a decorator to do the house so that you can concentrate on the Stag. Simples......Originally posted by ramjam2005 View PostOpened the garage doors… looked at it …and cried…again !
